Full story on Huddersfield bank raid suspect arrested in Spain - Local West Yorkshire News - News - Huddersfield Examiner: "MAN linked to a series of bank raids – including crimes in Huddersfield and Elland – has been arrested as he tried to board a plane in Spain.
Lee Tansey, 32, was stopped by police as he was about to board a plane at Malaga Airport on the Costa del Sol.
He and another younger man were both arrested on suspicion of armed robbery.
And police investigating the raid on the HSBC in Marsh last June and cash-in-transit bank raids in Elland are keen to speak to him.
Tansey, of Salford, was traced and arrested after a joint operation involving the UK Serious Organised Crime Agency, Greater Manchester Police and the Spanish Police.
It is understood the men were checking-in for a flight to the UK when he was arrested.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “A 32-year-old man and a 30-year-old man were arrested on a European Arrest Warrant.”"
