mother and her son have been found dead in Polop de la Marina, Alicante, believed to be victims of a domestic violence attack.
The 25 year old woman and her eight year old son are of Romanian origin and live on the outskirts of the town.
Their bodies were found inside the family home.
The Guardia Civil were called to the scene on Friday night and have been taking samples. They have declined to give more information on the case at the moment and reporting restrictions have been introduced.
The Mayor of the town, Gabriel Fernández, said the mother and son had been living there for two months, but he did not say if anyone else lived in the home where the bodies were found.
