According to the Greek Coastguard, the special units blocked a vessel that came from Albania.
The criminals on the vessel entered the Greek border through Corfu, Gumenitza, Mesology, and then to Patra, 200 km from Athens, where they aimed to unload the drug.
The Coastguards declared that the vessel was 11 meters long, with two 350 hp motors, and it carried 1000 kg of drug and an automatic weapon, AK-47, with 70 bullets.
Other four people were arrested on the shore, who were waiting for the drug in a vehicle. Three of the arrested are Albanians, one of them is Greek.
According to the police, the owner of the vessel was able to escape by jumping into the water, and the agents were unable to find him.
