Italian and Spanish police smash drugs ring
Italian and Spanish police say they have smashed a major mafia-linked drug smuggling gang. At least 23 people were arrested in both countries in a joint operation. Officials say cocaine and hashish were being smuggled from Morocco into Italy via Spain. They say the north African leader of the traffickers may have links to Islamic fundamentalism.
