Judicial body fails to back the Marbella Instruction Judge regarding Sean Connery's letter: "General Council for Judicial Power, the body which oversees the judiciary in Spain, has rejected the complaint from the Marbella Instruction Judge, Ricardo Puyol, that a letter delivered to him from Sir Sean Connery via the British Ambassador to Spain, Giles Paxman, had put pressure on him given its contents and the threat from the actor to start legal action.
The letter, dated September 20, states ‘the mere public revelation of these supposed criminal proceedings not only affects his public image, but also causes a clear, evident and quantifiable financial prejudice, and so he reserves the right to start legal action against the persons responsible’"
