Man shoots his wife to death in Benejúzar, Alicante: "man has shot his wife dead and then committed suicide in Benejúzar, Alicante. The couple were both of gypsy origin.
After being called by neighbours, Police found the 50 year old victim in the hall of the home in Calle Cayetano Duréndez. She had been shot in the forehead. Her killer was found on the sofa.
There were no previous reports of any domestic violence.
It brings the number of women killed by their partners in Spain to 55 so far this year."
