The Republic - British man brought to US from Spain to face drug charges in federal court: "British citizen has been brought to New York from Spain to face narcotics charges.
Mohammed Afzal Nabibux arrived in the United States Friday. The 57-year-old man was scheduled to make an initial appearance in federal court in Manhattan next Wednesday.
An indictment accused Nabibux and his son of participating in an international drug trafficking organization with operations in Europe, South America and the Middle East. It was not immediately clear who will represent the father in court.
Prosecutors say his son was brought to the U.S. last month. Both were arrested in Spain in October 2009. If convicted, they could face life in prison."
