Stoke fugitive linked to Spanish bar robbery

“He was at the bar on his own when this animal walked in with two big guys and kicked him to the floor. They kicked him all round the bar, then to behind the bar.
“My husband is 6ft 6ins, so he’s a big guy, but they just knocked the living daylights out of him.”
Spain has long been a favourite haunt of criminals on the run from British law – giving the Costa Del Sol area the nickname Costa Del Crime.
The couple sold the bar two weeks after the robbery but still fear reprisals.
“We are terrified and just want him locked up,” added the former Birmingham woman.
“We are after any information that will put our minds at rest that this animal has been caught.
“I have called Crimestoppers and the UK’s Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA) to tell them what happened. And the Guardia Civil over here has been wonderful.”
A spokesman for SOCA said they could not discuss information given by the public. But they added: “I can confirm the warrant on Mr Lejman is still outstanding and we will continue to make every effort to apprehend him.”
Heavily-tattooed Lejman allegedly kicked down the door of a house in December 2008 while the owners were asleep upstairs.
He threatened them before slashing a man’s face with a kitchen knife – and also broke his jaw.
