Parents questioned as Civil Guard investigate death of young girl in Arriate: "Civil Guard were continuing with their questioning on Monday of friends and family of the 13 year old girl, María Esther Jiménez Villegas, who was found dead in the Málaga village of Arriate on Thursday.
Her beaten body was found in a pump room of a swimming pool on the outskirts of the village on Thursday evening after she was reported missing the previous night.
The teenager’s parents were questioned by detectives after returning to Arriate from their daughter’s funeral in Paterna de Rivera, Cádiz province, on Sunday night. It’s understood that they gave DNA samples and fingerprints, and were asked about ‘private matters’ relating to their daughter’s life.
Málaga Hoy newspaper indicates that the murder weapon is believed to be a blood-stained rock which was found in the pump room where María Esther’s body was discovered"
