The Civil Guard have arrested four people after seizing 30 kilos of cocaine in two separate operations at a cruise ship terminal at the port in Barcelona.
The Civil Guard said in a press release on Monday that the larger part of the haul, more than 20 kilos, was seized from four passengers who arrived at the port on a cruise from South America.
The two men and a woman from South America and another man from Switzerland were in transit in Barcelona before they were due to continue with their cruise around the Mediterranean.
The drugs were found on their bodies beneath their clothing and hidden inside the false bottom of a pair of trainers.
An additional 10 kilos of liquid cocaine were found in the second operation inside eight bottles of shower gel.
