19 year old British tourist was the victim of a rape attack in the early hours of Tuesday. Sources at the Tenerife Sur police station described it as a brutal sexual aggression and say it was carried out on the Playa de Troya, in Playa de las Américas, by two French citizens.

The victim was found wandering around the area wearing only a bra and carrying a bag. She was spotted at 3am, by an Adeja local police patrol making their usual rounds. She told them what had happened and was able to show that in her hand she had grabbed and held onto the identity card of one of the aggressors. He had used it to cut cocaine during the evening.

Back at the police station she said the two men had invited her to take drugs. She had decided to accompany them but only for a drink, but later she lost consciousness and when she came round she was being raped by one of the two. She thinks they had spiked her drink.

Police then went to arrest S.I.R.M. and his friend at his home on the Costa del Silencio. They will appear before the judge in Arona shortly.

The victim was admitted to a Tenerife Sur health centre for tests and a check up.
