Busy week for Police special units on the Costa del Sol

 

National Police in Málaga have arrested seven international criminals over the past week on the Costa del Sol. All seven are wanted by judicial authorities in Spain or elsewhere in Europe, and some of them had been on the run for two years. On March 22, a 75 year old man, named with the initials M.P. and born in Gibraltar, was arrested by the UDYCO specialist crime unit under a OECD detention order for alleged drug trafficking. On the same day the Provincial City Safety Brigade arrested a 28 year old Bulgarian in Málaga, who also had a detention order against him from the Belgium authorities for theft. And also on the same day UYDCO officers on the Costa del Sol arrested a Dutch citizen, named with the initials S.J. but who was born in Tehran in 1988. He had a European warrant against him from Holland wanted for fraud. A 28 year old Lithuanian, A.F., was arrested in Málaga city on March 23, with an order from his country for robbery, and on the same day another man who was born in Tehran 31 years ago and named with the initials G.A. in Benalmádena. He is wanted by the National Court here who want to extradite him on charges of fraud. On March 27 at 1930 J.J.S was arrested at Málaga bus station. He’s from Belgium and is wanted for drug trafficking. J.B.O.J., born in Helsinki in 1974 was arrested in Mijas on an order from Finland, facing charges of extortion and the illegal possession of firearms. When stopped he showed a Finnish driving licence in the name of another person. Since the start of 2012 the UDYCO on the Costa del Sol have arrested a total of 27 people wanted internationally.
